Lynchings

Lynchings (“Premeditated extrajudicial killings by a group”) have always haunted India. During the past few decades India has witnessed a spate of lynchings, the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots, 1992 Anti-Muslim riots across India and 2002 anti-Muslim riots in the state of Gujarat. The recent spate of Lynchings in the name of cow vigilantism have shocked Indians and people around the world, victims being mostly Muslims.
